CWCHEAT 0.2.3 RELEASED

I have an iMac using Leopard and I use StuffIt Expander (for Macs) to uncompress all of my files like rar files. I put CW Cheat on my PSP using just my iMac and a USB cord. I have a 2001 PSP running 5.00 M33-6.

cwcheat is worling on 5.50 GEN-B? in net i read, that someone has probles.

That bug is fixed in 5.50 GEN-B2 so if you update you will be able to use CWCheat.

Hi, I have a few questions if you don't mind... I managed to install the cwcheat and it loads properly, however it loves to freeze in the middle of the game. My screen went black and the tiny lamp beside the directional button blinks rapidly before the psp shut down by itself. And I have to enter the Recovery Mode again to turn it on. The game is hard to load too after it happens. It usually freezes a few times before it loads properly. I need to copy a new iso sometimes since it can't load at all. I'm worried if it's going to ruin my psp since it happens quite often...

What I want to know... is that happens because of cwcheat? Because my friends uses the same --- as mine and hers doesn't have the same problem (she doesn't use cwcheat). If so, what should I do to correct that problem?

My settings are:
System Software: 5.00 M33-4
CWCheat 2.2 ver D (I use the folder INSTALL)
UMD Mode: Sony NP9660 -NO UMD-
CPU Speed - XMB and UMD/ISO - : Default
PSP Slim

Is there something else I should do?

Hey everyone, I'm new to PSP and CWCheat, I'm having some trouble and I think it might be my PSP. So this is where I'm stuck

PSP 3000, Sony update v6.10, 4GB Sony mem stick, and CWCheat 0.2.2 Rev D

I tried copying the folders and files that the README-EN said to, but turning my psp on while holding R doesn't do anything, I have yet to try pressing select in game because I figured if the R-boot method didn't work that the CWCheat isn't going to.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.


Edit: I'm also using Windows Vista, so I think unpacking the files worked, its just my PSP 3000 or the v6.10 firmware. I've been reading about custom firmwares but I know nothing of it, or if it's safe to downgrade a 3000 to an older firmware.

You can't downgrade your PSP from 6.10 so you won't be able to use CWCheat or install custom firmware until another user mode and kernel mode exploit is found in the firmware which isn't likely to happen for a long time. You should try to stick with the 6.10 firmware and not upgrade any further unless it is entirely necessary to increase your chances of an exploit being compatible with your PSP.

raing3, Thank you very much for the quick reply, I figured it would be too late after I got the 6.10 update, it's sad to think I had 5.03 until about an hour before my post, I guess I'll have to keep myself up to date on the custom firmwares in the future, I could really use some extra money in games like DW:Strikeforce, MHFU and Phantasy Star Portable, I have the skill to play the games, but I'm usually poor lol.

i can NOT understand why cwcheat will not load on this game only, mega man maverick hunter x, every other game is fine but it will not load... i tired pausing and uncompressing the cso...its really making me mad...and when will there be another cwcheat release its getting kinda dated

CWCHEAT 0.2.3 RELEASED

nothing exciting i've just rebuilt it with the latest toolchain (seems it reduced the size of the binary to up to 1KB), updated the included db and there is a cheat refresh functionality altough i wrote it a year ago and i don't remember how it works and if it works (check the configuration files as it seems i didn't put it yet in the config menu)

- rebuilt with latest toolchain
- updated db to latest version in the site
- there is an cheat refresh hz functionality but i coded it one year ago so i'm unsure if it works and how it works right now
- consider this an untested beta
