CW Cheat menu works, but codes dont?

Hi, I've got custom firmware 3.71 m33-2 and it's a psp slim, I've installed CW Cheats properly to the best of my knowledge, and the menu works in game when I hold select, but the codes don't work, also the game freezes allot, anybody know why? Thanks!

bad cheats. try something like puzzle booble which has valid cheats for sure as a first try
