    [Help] Loading CWCheat

1st of all, sorry if this is an overasked question but I cant find the search function.

I am running CFW 5.00 m33-6 on a PSP-2006. I have put the CWC seplugin folder into the the root folder and also have set Enable to both plugins in the boot up menu. I have no other plugins installed. However, I am unable to bring up the CWC menu after holding select in game. I am using a 4gb Sandisk and have also tried formatting it. 1st time using the program so I have no idea what is wrong. So I need some other programs installed to have it work?

    Thanks in advance.

Ah thanks for the language tip~

But after searching it seems that the the no menu problem generally lies with 3.71 users so I still have no idea what is wrong with mine T_T

    It was worth a try
    Allright.
Since I personally never had troubles with SanDisk MemSticks (only $ony's) I assume it's not that.
(I myself am using SanDisk Memsticks in both my PSPs [UltraII's to be precise])

My first thought would be that you have made a mistake in the game/pops.txt.
Check it to see if it is really correctly inserted there. Like this:
(Default example; Works if you didn't choose a custom path for CWCheat)
    in game.txt:
    Code:
    ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1
    in pops.txt:
    Code:
    ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.prx 1
(If you have the 1 at the end it will be autoenabled so you don't need to go to recovery)

    If that does not help,
Are you sure your select Button is working at all?

Another tip would be to test turning the mem card speed up option on or off in the recovery menu.

Yup the txt files seems ok, but actually I have no idea if my select button is working since the games I am playing don't use it. Should be working though as I can bring up the VSH menu during XMB with it.

The MS speed up does not have any effect but I noticed that in game, when I hold the select button, the red light does not flash at all so maybe it is not attempting to load CWC at all?

Another thing is that the install instruction mention about enabling the GAME150.txt but my plugin list does not have that. I've tried manually setting the value to 1 though and things still don't work.

Do you have anything else than cwcheat.prx in your game.txt?
Maybe another plugin that prevents CWCheat from loading?
Take anything else out of there and try again!

(game150.txt is/was for homebrew stored in the GAME150 Folder)

Nope, I have never done any technical stuff to my psp other than CFW and CWCheat is the 1st plugin I have tried to add.

Then let's try and start fresh!
delete anything CWCheat related from your memorystick
if nothing else is in seplugins delete the whole folder.

Next if you want to format the memorystick once more!

Download a fresh copy of CWCheat 0.22 revision D from the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

You end up with a CWCHEAT_0_2_2_REVD.RAR.
Unpack it somewhere and open the 'INSTALL' Folder that was unpacked.
copy the 'seplugin' Folder you can see in the 'INSTALL' Folder onto your memstick.
Reboot the PSP into Recovery Mode and activate the plugins.

Try loading up a game and see if it works now!

Grah it's still a no go. Maybe there's some unknown factor causing this but not enough people attempt use CWCheat to have that problem identified. Or maybe my hardware is just old lol.
