I'll be testing it out this weekend. Thanks for the new version, and for listening to suggestions from the users.
Today I'm pleased to announce a new version of cwcheat: 0.1.2.
This version has various improvement including:
-cheat searching directly from the psp with 8/16/32BIT support, continue support and reporting of the values of the first ten adresses. Directly from the cheat search menu is possible to add to the codes what you have just found to try it (it doens't add it to the on memory stick database at the moment)
-improvement on the 32bit multi adress write code which permits now to use not power of 4 adresses (before this resulted in a crash)
-fixed the usb mass support: now it's auto enabled correctly when the prx is loaded if you selected it in the options
-now codes are applied without waiting 1-10secs anymore so for example the life bars are now froze
NB: I couldn't update the manuals because i don't have adobe acrobat with me right now
NB2:The change code value function is accesible from the cheat selection menu by pressing SQUARE when the desidered cheat is selected
Remember to use update/restore to update the prx and not install!
Enjoy
Code:CHANGELOG: 0.1.2 RELEASE [CORE PRX] -now cheats are applied every 1/10000 sec (before was second*cheat delay) -cheat delay is now control delay which mean how much seconds to wait before checking the keys combinations -now priority is 0x64, before was 0x1 (this means less priority) -now when entering the cheat selection it waits for the X buttons to be released (this caused the always Y first cheat when entering the menu) -now the buttons which are keep pressed will be repeated also in the main menu -now usb autostart is correctly handled and usb is enabled when the prx is loaded -corrected some graphic glitchs on the bottom of the screen of the main menu -cheat DB format update: now the db can store also the enabled/disabled status of every cheat so it will automatically enable the cheats you choose. Now the old database format is deprecated: it still works but the support for it will be dropped on the next version The new format changes only the _C (Cheat) entry now it's _C# where # is a 1 (enabled) or a 0 (disabled). If another number is found the cheat will be disabled, if a space is found (only this version) the cheat will be read as an old format cheat. To update your DB just replace the _C with _C0 (or _C1) -now it's possible to edit on the go directly from the cwcheat menu the value field of a code. -now the 32bit multi write code works correctly also if the adress isn't a power of 4. So condensed codes which didn't work before will work fine -Now it's available a cheat search function from the game -The cheat search function supports 8/16/32bit fixed value search -Found adresses in the cheat search function are written to progressive file (pass0.txt, pass1.txt, etc.) -You can return to game and then continue your search for codes. -The resume fixed value search function shows the first 10 adresses found in the precedent search with the value of these adresses in hexadecimal and decimal format (usefull to avoid another search when you have only a little number of adresses) -some optimizations here and there [INSTALLER] -changed the restore icon to a restore/update icon to avoid mistakes

I love you, again! :D <3 <3 <3
EDIT: CodedArms crashes when you try to load a saved game. :o
EDIT2: The infinite health cheat does not work. I don't even get the blinking red square. (I started a new game)
Great new features. I tested them out. The cheat searcher is a bit buggy, cause it causes the screen to flash, and there will be two arrows, and when I return to the game, the menu will flash in the background and cause the game to crash. Just reporting some bugs. It could just be me, but lets see what jungletek says when he tests it this weekend, or others test it. I'll sure you'll be able to fix them easy when you get back to a pc though. Anyway, thanks for the great new features, have a relaxing vacation!

Hi there, thank you for the new cheat app. I have one question that i still don't understand: how do you find code for inf Health bar or Mana bar (They don't have number on it) ? i know how to use Artmoney to find normal code that have number displayed...but for something like health bar, mana bar .i have no idear.
I know the basic of make 2+ diffrent Memdumb. One with the full health bar ,one with 2/3 full ,one with 1/3 full ,and one with empty. But when compare them using artmoney ,they showed a like 100+ codes with is not correct.
Can some one post up a tutorial for it? please share your experience with us...![]()
hello...first of all i want to thank very much to weltall for this excellent piece of homebrew......i really want to learn how to make this codes and help out to make db bigger...hehe....but the truth is that i cant find the way to understand how...
...
can anyone point me in the right direction?...for example i know how to make codes for gba, search on hex and all that stuff...but really ignorant on this particular cheat device...lol...plz dont flame me...
thankz in advance for any help anyone can provide me...
If you understand the hex searching, you're more than halfway there.Originally Posted by DeViL32
Using cwcheat, you make memory dumps. Then you search for your value in there, as opposed to searching the RAM of the running program like you would on a PC.
Use a program like ArtMoney that can work with files also, and just search for the values in the memdumps.
Read all of the threads on the english board here, you should be able to piece together how to do it from the various responses I and other have given to other newbies.
Good luck, and welcome to the community. We look forward to see what you come up with.
Okay, first impressions...
Something funky is going on in regards to the USB. I would have preferred the way it worked before, because the USB connection wouldn't 'hang' when the cheat menu was open, as it does now. Data won't transfer over the USB conenction while the cheat menu is open.
I managed to freeze the PSP and cause a reset becuase I tried to reload the cheat.db from the menu option, after updating it with a new code.
Please fix that ASAP, as I really find the in-game cheat finder useful. It's nice and quick, and saves me the hassle of loading dumps that would occasionally get corrupted.
Truth be told, I'd prefer the old USB behavior... as all I had to do was toggle the option on the front menu. It's frustrating now that nothing updates until I 'close' the cwcheat menu.
Other than that 'bug', good job weltall... this was the main feature I was hoping for, and it seems to be working quite well.
Thanks mate!
EDIT: Okay, you can get around the USB/Cheat.db update 'freeze' by just keeping USB disabled when you select "Reload Cheat DB".
BUG (I think?): Searching for '0' (zero) either puts the system into an infinite loop, or just takes a REALLY long time. After 5 minutes or so, I had to shut off the PSP... it was reading from the memstick, but wouldn't respond to the HOME button or anything. Please look into that also.
Feature requests/changes I've thought of:
1) Make it so you can change the data type when continuing the search... I was searching for 200, so I set it at 8bit, but then the value went up to 300, so I needed 16bit but couldn't change to it. I ended up re-doing the search from 300.
2) Maybe also add a modifier key for the 'value input' in the cheat searcher... even with the right and left dpad doing jumps of 100, it takes a long time to scroll up to large values (i.e. 42000 :D ) Maybe holding L jumps by 1000 and holding R jumps by 10,000? Just an idea, should be easy to implement... and would be appreciated by those of us in the trenches
Thx for the wicked update otherwise. I like it!
