Sony has now officially announced details of Playstation home, an extensive customizable network community for PS3. Phil Harrison revealed at GDC that it will be available as a FREE download from the playstation store. You can create characters and play with their attributes such as somatotype and clothes. A similar concept to Mii's avatars but more comprehnsive. From this stage your virtual character can interact with others complete with support for text, voice and video chat as well as being able to invite each other to online games. Gamers will also be given a virtual living space, so they can display pictures on their walls, play MP3's through a virtual Hi-Fi and show off their trophies (achievements) to others!
