First off you shouldn't cheat online. And the reason why it doesn't work is b/c all the address shift when the/any game goes online. It's basically the games own anti-online cheating protection.
Go ahead and try to cheat search online but I'm pretty sure that you'll get knocked off b/c cwcheat pauses the game so your connection will be lost if you stay in the menu to long.
