i think you overwrote the card... if the first thing you did in CWCheat was "I saved memory card 1 to memory stick"
the first action should've been LOAD from memory stick.
try again, put the converted file on the stick, load the game, go to cwcheat into memory card manager, and load FROM memory stick. then try loading the game.
