Playstaton HOME beta test gathering on Wednesday

A Playstation HOME beta tester e-mailed us in a copy of an e-mail he received from the Playstation team regarding a Home gathering scheduled for Wednesday 27th February from 7PM until 9PM PST. Some of the Key HOME features include a new user interface, new Home Square, New Summer House and video feeds firectly from Crackle.com.

With the latest update now released we're really excited to get all of you back in Home at the same time to help with testing.

If you've not been into Home for a while, don't worry. The update is completely automated—just arrive on the night and wait while the new version is downloaded.

Key Home features include:

• New User Interface and extensive graphics engine improvements
• New central outdoor space: Home Square
• Avatar and clothing management combined and improved into The Wardrobe
• Marketplace: clothes, furniture, items and apartments
• New Home Space to test: Summer House
• Put your own pictures up in your Home Space

Home pare continuamente sottoposto a nuovi aggiornamenti e migliorie; alla Sony stanno facendo le cose davvero in grande per questo loro nuovo e attesissimo servizio, anche se nulla ancora trapela circa una data di rilascio o sulla famosa "open beta", al punto che molti utenti hanno dato vita persino ad una petizione online per spingere il colosso giapponese a far uscire "qualcosa" in fretta.
In ogni caso, Sony ha reso pubbliche le feature relative al prossimo (ed enorme) aggiornamento che dara la possibilità ai pochi e fortunati beta tester di provare diversi miglioramenti.

Eccoli di seguito:

- Nuova interfaccia grafica chiamata Home CS(Home Chip System)
- Motore grafico completamente rinnovato (risoluzione a 1080p confermata)
- Nuovo sistema per la personalizzazione del guardaroba del proprio avatar
- implementazione del "marketplace", ovvero un mercato dove è possibile comprare di tutto, dalle case ai vestiti
- Aggiustamenti nel sistema di caricamento del titolo e nel log-in
- Nuove routine per gestire lo streaming video (accessibili non solo nel Home Theatre ma anche dalla vostra PSP virtuale, aggeggino di cui ogni avatar sarà dotato e che funzionerà da vera e propria GUI)
- Gli Home items saranno gestibili non solo nella nostra casa virtuale ma anche in qualunque posto vi troviate...via Virtual PSP (confronta qui sopra)
- Bug fix di varia natura
