ICONA NEWS CW More detailed answers plz!

Hello! As another, fellow N00B. I've also downloaded the program & read the instructions to copy the folder contents of MS_Root into the PSP ROOT file, not the PSP folder. Now I have a few questions to which I have not yet been able to find answers.

1) What firmware (if relevant) is required?

2) When it says copy the folder under MS_Root, does this mean only the plugins folder & it's contents, or ALL folders? (If only plugins, then what's all the other folders & non-readme files for?)

3) Where do I place these files? In my own MP_ROOT, or just add it as a seperate folder to all the others?

4) When it says load up the PSP & Press "R", am I just turning it off, then back on & pressing "R" @ any point in this, or do I hold "R" once I've powered on?

I've tried just copying the MS_Root into my own MP_ROOT, & I've also tried just copying it onto the PSP itself (G:\ in my case) Of course, absolutely nothing happened, but without more details, I wouldn't know what I'm doing wrong.

Plz help. Not everyone is great at this tech stuff, once I get it working, I'd be happy to use screen-shots to help other n00bs with an easiey, step-by-step instruction.

Thanks.

1)Custom 3.71M33 or latest w/e
2)ms root means when u plug ur psp into ur PC the folder that opens up with PSP,MUSIC,PICTURE
3)If u end up with a folder called MP_Root or something like that the files, folder that are in there go into the there
4)you need custom firmware for the menu to load up and if u do then u have to do a full boot were not sleep mode.

Thanks for the help!

Ok, so yes, my PSP alread has an MP_ROOT, so now, am I to copy ALL the files I downloaded into this folder, or JUST the plugin files? In the mean time, I guess I'll have to upgrade to the most recent firmware...

And you mean just hold the power button down for 3 second or whatever, then turn it back on, or did you mean something else?

Sorry? I don't understand. Ok, to make this simpler, please just consider me someone who knows that you can buy a PSP, put games in it & it plays. lol. I don't know much else, except that your PSP can be updated to new firmware. That's why I keep asking. I just wanna be able to use cheats on my PSP & I have no idea as to how to go about it.

There are 2 types of Firmware
Sony Official Firmware and Custom Firmware(FW)
Using a custom FW allows u too play backed up games off of ur memory stick and also load plugins(like cwcheat). Sony doesn't want u to have custom FW. So u need to downgrade(google it) to 1.50 from w/e version ur at now.
If ur at 3.XX ur gonna need Pandora's Battery(google it)to downgrade. After u hit the point of getting ur PSP to 1.50 then u have to use a custom or modified FW update. When u hit this point Keywords to look up on google is M33, DaX, Dark_Alex,etc to get ur psp to a Custom FW point. if ur able to do all that then u can get cwcheat running in seconds.

ICONA NEWS PSP Thanks for the help! (Again)

Makes sense why nothing's working for me! I think my current Firmware is 2+ but not quite 3.0.

I'll have to check out one of these places that downgrade the Sony Firmware I guess & see if that'll get it running. So, basically I need to downgrade to official Sony Firmware 1.50 & then get a Custom Firmware of 3.0+? Ok, I think I got it! Thanks!
