Can't manually add cheats?

Sorry for the incorrect topic title, I edited the post but I can't change the title...

I went into select cheats for NFSC but there isn't any there, but in the database there is one, I noticed that the game id was different, but does that mean that there are no cheats at all for my one?

sure if the id is different it's a different game. aside from some exceptions normally games with different ids are also different build and so cheats won't work

And after reading through the forums, how exactly can you make your own cheats? Do you have to dumb, then gain the amount you want (for money), then dump, and so on and then when you enter the code it will just give the amount? It's really confusing.

you have to use the fixed value searches in the cheat searcher menu, first start then continue. insert everytime the current value and press x

Yeah, and this whole searching thing is what confuses me. Is there anyone here that could make a cheat for all the crates and one for a set amount of money for Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City. ULES-00576 game ID
