Does it only work with the psp 1.5 firmware.because i bought my psp recently and its running the 3.71.thx

If you're not operating on custom firmware, then it is not possible to enter recovery mode, and thus not possible to use CWCheat. xP

how do i get custom firmware? so if i bought my daxter bundle psp there is no possible way to use CWCheat?

You have to have a pandora battery and magic memory stick in order to downgrade. See here.

so i will have to downgrade it to a 1.5 and my 3.71 original firmware will be gone right? i am formatting my memory stick now

I'm fairly certain that you can't downgrade a Slim to 1.5. I used the TotalNewbi installer on my friends Slim to downgrade his, and it just took him straight to 3.60 M33.

Don't bother formatting your memory stick if you don't have a pandora battery or the files necessary. xP
