game cheat doesn't work in monster hunter.

Hi, i'm facing a problem with the cheat. That is, the cheats work well on other games, except for monster hunter freedom. When i go into the "select cheat" menu, its blank in there, unlike any other games which has a few options of the cheats. And, my PSP version is 3.60. Can anyone list down all the possibilities of why this is so?
