cheats dont work in online mhf2?

Friend and I wanna fight the elder dragons and see how fast we can kill them with cheats with a fresh save. however when we go into online mode with cheats on, some of them work and some dont. Ie the 99 items on body (quest) code works, but the unlimited gunlance ammo code doesnt. anyone know why?

First off you shouldn't cheat online. And the reason why it doesn't work is b/c all the address shift when the/any game goes online. It's basically the games own anti-online cheating protection. Go ahead and try to cheat search online but I'm pretty sure that you'll get knocked off b/c cwcheat pauses the game so your connection will be lost if you stay in the menu to long.

And also, your answer is full of holes considering I clearly stated that A: some codes work and others dont, while online, and B: It's not just infrastructure but adhoc as well, which isnt a true online connection. So it wouldn't affect it.

So instead of making yourself look foolish by being a wiseass and not knowing what you're talking about, try to be helpful. If you don't know the answer, then there's no reason to comment. And there's always a way to cheat online within a community if that was my intention. There's no foolproof way to stop cheating/hacking within multiplayer games. you will find that alot of games that you play online are like this and you wont be able to change using mem edit cos there server side only

I gave you a full answer ask anyone else. Some address shift and some don't. I don't understand your problem. Wheres weltall I bet he'll give you the same answer. Ok let me explain. anyway....
Let say this is:
Off-line Level 1 Map
Cheat: Lets say its for Item Slot 1
Address: Value:
0xAAAAAAAA 0xZZZZZZZZ

When you switch to online some address are not used and others are used instead.

So online the Address for Item Slot 1 might be
Address: Value:
0xABABABAB 0xZZZZZZZZ (most likely the same)

Why act like a wise ass yourself and make yourself look like a dick in the process. You need a lesson in respect as well.The reason why I said not to cheat online b/c many come in great numbers for online cheats. A little history lesson in CW for you. When CW started out the great coder put in a little check that when your wlan was up it wouldn't work. Over time that failed and now alot of online games are ruined. Biggest example ever Socom. Lastly when entering the cheat menu the game pauses so wlan gets locked up and when you return from searching you'll get knocked off-line."infrastructure adhoc" same difference if the green light goes on that means the game can get locked up. There you go I defended everything I said with valid true facts. As you noticed by reaching the end of my post that I indeed know what I'm talking about.

Why would I give respect to someone who "rofl"s at a completely legitimate question? That's not respectful. I asked a question and you automatically assumed im going to cheat online like some noobie that doesnt know how to play the game. Not everyone that uses a cheat device does it to make the game as easy as possible. I've already got a maxed account in mhf2. You made an assumption and laughed at it. Perhaps you should learn to be respectful instead of trying to be a know-it-all, whom obviously doesn't. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate your answer, but when you give an answer while mocking someone, you're going to get flack back. If you're going to give reasoning, please don't be a prick in the process.
