cwcheat help for 3.71 m33-2

i put cwcheat onto my memory sticks root folder and enabled the stuff in the recovery menu but when i go into my game (monster hunter freedom 2) i hold select in the menu and in the game but the cwcheat menu wont pop up.
What did i do wrong?
