I've been looking around for an answer for a while but I can't seem to find one.
I have a .txt file properly named for Final Fantasy VII in the proper text folder. However when I go to the menu and select the text reader and press X, nothing happens. I am using the latest version of CWCheat (0.2.2 Rev A) and I am on FW 3.71 M33-4. I am also on a PSP slim if that's of any consideration. Thanks! |

Okay, well based on the documentation on the wiki I have it named correctly. For Final Fantasy VII Disc 1, the code is
SCUS_94163 Then I need to add a number on the end, so this is how the text file appears: SCUS_941631.txt Now I've tried saving in multiple formats using windows notepad (unicode, UTF-8, ANSI) but none have worked. Is there a different way I should be saving this file? I didn't find any specifications that the text file needs to be. |

Okay, I renamed it to:
SCUS_941630.txt And still I get absolutely nothing when I press X on text reader. I'm kinda under the impression that SOMETHING should happen, which makes me think it's more than just a text file issue. |

Geeze I could have sworn I tried it without an additional number before.. Blah.
Anyway it works now. I was primarily concerned because it didn't flash or anything. Like the button just wasn't responding almost (I spammed it pretty hard lol). I don't think it should bring up an error box or anything like that, but better documentation on the numbering system would be cool. Nowhere did it say my first file should be unnumbered. Straight from the FAQ: "A: just put a GAMEID#.txt, where # is a number in the /seplugins/cwcheat/text/ folder were gameid is the id used in the db or showed in the top of cwcheat menu" I assumed by what it said that it needed to have a number no matter what. Anyway all is well now and hopefully anyone else who has this problem will find this thread Thanks again! |

I'm having this problem, but I still must be doing something wrong. I checked the game ID with CWCheat in game: ULUS-10336. I saved the 112KB text file in Notepad as ULUS_10336.txt and placed it in the seplugins/cwcheat/text/ folder.
When I load the game, CWCheat works fine, but nothing happens when I select Text Reader, no access light, nothing. I also tried turning off Screenshot Compatibility Mode (suggested in another thread). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, EDIT: Figured it out, I thought the format would always be with an underscore (XXXX_#####.txt), the game shows with a dash ULUS-10336.txt. I knew I was to blame, hope this helps others at least. Ultima modifica di stratix : 13th April 2008 alle ore 09:38. |

Thank you so much man. I was doing the same exact issue. I think it should be specified in the wiki because I kept trying the underscore also. |
