Cheats for Disgaea Afternoon of darkness, and yes they work, except where stated. Not all cheats found and/or created by me, this is actually mostly a compiliation, from the best of the best, and all that I found.

(as a personal note this code has saved me many times, and showed me the variables/ addresses for other fun codes.

Note. Even though Pleinair doesn't crash as the unique characters do, she does however have her own share of problems.
Here are a few I've observed:
Don't use ranged weapons; bows, guns, spears(!), that strongest sword thing.
Pleinair's sprite tends to lock up, due to missing frames.
Also, ranged weapons used at point blank range has the same effect, so don't think that if you use that uber sword thing next to somebody the sprite won't freeze up.
Furthermore, try not using animation heavy moves.
Skills tend to be more stable then regular weapons, but for every missing frame problem you need to wait a sec or so.
Ex. If you use Blade Rush it'd take 10-20 seconds till you can input another command.
Normal pokes can take 2-3 seconds till your next command.
Cause casting spells only uses 1 frame I recommend using a mage character for editing purposes.
Mages have 0-1 counters so that won't take unncesery time on counters, spell lag's hardly noticable."

(I won't bother going into what variables = what letters, since there are a ton, and most of them are in Japanese anyway)

NOTE: Remember, if you want to apply these to a character in slot 1 (or any other slot), either move them into slot 2, or +/- hex 750 from the Address as necessary.

Okay, here's what I've been having trouble with now, changing the characters themselves... (This is still for the character in Slot 2 btw XP)

[Update] I went back through and did some more tinkering, and found I could change charactors from my memory stick...... but it still quickly crashes after only 3-5 minutes off use????

the first two seem to determine each specific character (including variations of a single class)
and the second two seem necessary for some reason, though I can't exactly pinpoint what it is they do...

First of all, the difference between the classes here are 0A 00 0A 00 xx (However many variations there are in the class you just moved up from)

Anywho, the furthest classes I have are Priere and Marjoly:

And if logic serves, then the way the characters are arranged is the same as the faces I posted up there. However, even with this assumption, I haven't been able to access any character I wouldn't be able to normally (Baal/MidBoss/Adel/Rozalind etc.)

For Baal if my theory is correct, he should fall between the Nether Noble and Beasts, so I made a pair (the first forms), looked up they're values, and notcied that Baal does in fact fit between them;

Nether Noble v1 = 52 08 52 08 B9

Manticore v1 = 66 08 66 08 C0

Notice that the difference between the final variable is 6, that means that there is another character in between the various forms of Nether Nobles, and Manticore (or Beasts). After subtracting 0A 00 0A 00 01 from the manticore's value here ,
(Baal? = 5C 08 5C 08 BF ?)
I assumed I'd get Baal, however, it just crashed instead T_T

I also tried the one just after Marjoly (Adel), and the one just after that (Rozalind), however once again it just crashed on me T_T"

[I couldn't make much sense of this either, all these codes made my system crash, but maybe someone can figure it out....]

If these are your codes please take credit for them, and show me how those sprite codes work...... I'd love to be able to load custom ones of my memory card.
