ICONA NEWS PSP HELP!

I need help. I am going to sound like a total noob but whatever. On the PSP slim, I cannot open the recovery menu to enable CW Cheats seplugins. I have held R while turning it on but it is simply bringing me to the psp menu as if I had pressed nothing. I followed a youtube tutorial on how to install but I cannot seem to open that darn menu. I think if someone tells me that I will be able the use CW cheats.
Thanks in advance!

You need to install custom firmware on the PSP. You can't run homebrew on an unmodded PSP. Just Google it.

What do you think I should download?

Because it keeps saying that "The game could not be started (80020148)"

You need to look up methods of installing custom firmware on your PSP before you do anything with CWCHEAT.

You'll need a Pandora Battery (either make one yourself or get your hands on one) and PSP Grader or a similar program to make a Magic Memory Stick. I recommend PSP Grader because it installs 3.80m33 which can easily be updated to 3.90m33-3 using the PSP's own network updater. You can hardmod a battery you already have to become a Pandora Battery, or you can buy one online. Just Google tutorials or look on YouTube, there are countless "How to" guides out there.

CWCHEAT won't, and can't possibly run on official firmware because it's homebrew. Get custom firmware.
