OK So here's what I've observed so far. You said that 140 was my lucky number, and that I should use a Hex calculator. First I input 140 into the calculator and it came out as 320 in Dec. That wasn't what I wanted though. So instead of messing with the calculator I checked the US and EU codes that you put up on this thread. The Address of the US codes is 140 higher, but the Hex remained the same. So if converting a EU cheat to a US cheat means just adding 140 to the address, it seems pretty easy to convert the cheats! But I have no idea how I would use a Hex calculator to simplify the process. Any ideas there?

@pandaguin
w0w wtf 12 Part Cheat omfg luckily OpenOffice Calc will do the adress conversion for me ![]() And of course I'll add them there, I just want to finish the first batch of converted codes that I'm still testing/improving right now ![]() @Glyth Not sure but you can give it a try yourself It should become evident how to do this after this post @hijokomi Yes, you figured it out aswell 140 was the difference between those two adresses! Codice:
J...................0x011FF090 E......J+42C0.......0x01203350 U..E+140.||.J+4400..0x01203490 Next you need to subtract the smaller adress from the bigger one. Normally you would first sort the cheat list by adresses, then try one from the top and one from the bottom. If both differences are the same they will will be the same for the entire block inbetween those two and most likely for the rest aswell. I had allready tested that with the Jap to Euro conversion and therefore was quite sure that my codes would work fine all I needed was the Money Cheat you posted.

Ah ha! Thats logical enough! I'm going to see how it goes converting some JP to US codes!
So you were saying that a Hex calculator was need in order to subtract the small value from the larger value. The result is difference between the versions of the game! Just to make sure though, the Hex remains the same and the Address is the only part of the code that changes, right? |

Since the game itself remains the same in each version and just the language changes.
The data will get stored the same way, but at a different place. That's why it is such a simple task to convert existing codes. The biggest problem is usually to make sure that the code really works. There are a lot of wrong codes that get published by people who don't check them first. Thats why converting them blindly is a bad idea ![]() Unless they were posted by me of course.
