In levels where the timer goes down (checkpoint/drift) the timer will stick at the maximum. In normal race levels the timer will stick at 0. Once you finish a race you have to also disable the code or otherwise the race complete menu will not appear

So far I have tested it on about half the game and it seems but the code also has a few weird side-effects. One being that the race dialog does not appear, once you start an infinite nitrous boost it seems impossible to stop the car without crashing, the rain doesn't move, the people in the crowd don't take pictures of you and probably a few other things I have forgotten to mention. I guess I probably need to find a different timer address which I might do sometime latter however that code was mostly made for the races where you can't make it past the finish line quickly enough before the time runs out and then turn it off.

Unlike porting codes from Need for Speed Undercover to Need for Speed Most Wanted many of the original codes can't seem to be as easily ported to Need for Speed Shift. I made a Disable AI code but it isn't as good as the disable AI codes for the other NFS games as each car is disabled individually (hence 7 lines of code) rather than all cars being disabled with a single line. If anyone has a better code I'd be very happy if they posted it.

Here is a better disable timer code and a few other codes. The new disable timer doesn't have the side-effects not being able to finish a level while the code is activated, the spectators will still take pictures of you, iit still rains and the cars are no longer unstoppable monstors when you try to use nitrous when the new infinite time code is on.

I tested it on a lot of different races and it worked for me if you have any issues with the infinite time code please specify the race type.

Yeah those uncontrollable munsters was a beast. I thought it was just me... But The new infinite time thing don't seem to work for me. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I try Event Battle Machine and for type I put time attack. The clock keeps ticking away, is it suppose to do that?

I like the no HUD code you made. However there some problem with it for me. It only works if your start the race with the cheat enabled. You cannot seem to toggle on and off the HUD during the race. I manually change it back to 0x00000002 and that doesn't bring it back until the race starts over. Basically the key thing is can't get it back it seems. If there was a way to get it back then it is easy to make joker L+up to toggle it. Yah that's what i want toggle HUD.

Initially I thought the code worked with all races but I realized the line of code which stops the main lap timer prevented the finish marker showing up so it wasn't possible to complete the race with the code on. The code now only gives maximum time on drift, speedbreaker and checkpoint challenge races. I'm going to have another try again at stopping the lap timer but it is starting to get annoying.

I only made the Disable HUD code by accident while I was looking for the lap timer so I probably won't go looking for another way to do it. So the code will probably remain as a code which you enable at the start the race to disable the HUD and disable at the start of the race to enable the HUD.
