When I am searching for items using "Ricerca di un valore", the address' are in Absolute format

Does that mean that the only the numbers system of 0-9 is used?

Ex: If my cash in the game was 444509, would I just put that in the box then open the dump to find it? Or would I have to convert that value into hexadecimal?

BTW: As for ideas for your wonderful cheating device, you should edit your CWcheat.exe cheat finder to support english (lol). Also, There is a bug where if you press Cerca while the file is already searching, it displays an error and crashes. You should make the cerca button unclickable (grey it out) so that it cannot be pressed until it is done. OR you could make a popup show up saying "A Search is already in progress. Would you like to abort?" Or something like that I have more ideas to post but I'll limit myself for now. I only wish I had C++ computer skills, but unfortunately I'm still in High School so yeah. Hopefuly one day I can program files like you guys
in decimal format.
i'll have a look at these problems

I just had to register for this forum so I could post this message saying THANK YOU for a fantastic piece of software. I absolutely love it.

Please do not stop developing this awesome prog.

Some issues I have discovered that you may wish to look at:

In the cheat database, some new codes were added for Ultimate Ghosts n Goblins, but they're in Japanese, so I have no idea what they're for?
"Infinite Lives" is obvious, but what is "TOKUTEN" and "BUKI" and "MUTEKIMAHOU" ?
I tired running them through a jap/eng translator and came up unknown.

Also, if you enable a cheat in Ultimate Ghosts n Goblins the game will freeze after you save, even if you disable the cheats prior to ending the stage. Is there a way around this?

y would you need one that u can use with the wlan swith up? unless u wanted to cheat online... but cheating online is against sony's license agreement you agree to when signing on and therefore, illegal. it was designed not to be able to go online. it ruins the game for everyone else when u cheat online...

I agree, but you do of course realize that it's only a matter of time before someone ELSE releases the modified .prx or a patch that will allow you to do so? It's naive to think just because you disabled it in the original version that someone else isn't going to hack around it.

Sad, but that's reality...

Yea, maybe if it was possible they could just make it work with Ad Hoc, since you are just playing with friends and they would know if you were cheating or not so you would know if it was ok with them or not. It would be great for some cooperative games like Blade Dancer: Linage of Light, and Untold Legends. Of course, that would be if there are other psp users around you.(I have only met one other kid in my school with a psp, and I'm moving before I start school again, and plus, we cant bring electronics to school. I only got to play a ad hoc game with him once, and it was when we were on a school trip to a place a few hours away, so we got to bring stuff to entertain our selves.) Anyway, if they can make it were the cheats absolutly can not be applied when connected to a router, and can only use ad hoc wifi with the cheats, that would be usefull for cooperative games.

Never happen. Stopping people from doing something only motivates more people to do it even more. There's no way it can be setup so that it's "impossible" to reverse-engineer. Someone, somewhere will ALWAYS find a way eventually.

Look at a giant company like Sony and the millions of dollars, (not to mention time and effort) they have spent trying to make it so that homebrew/ISO's can't be played on the PSP... how long did that last? What are we all doing now DESPITE thier efforts.

There's no such thing as "uncrackable". Someone will do it, if for no other reason than to be able to say they did it. It's just a matter of time.
People WILL use this (or other tools like it - I'm aware of at least one already) to cheat online. That's the simple fact of it.

Making it so the cheats won't enable when the wlan switch is on is a good idea unto itself, but if they didn't bother and just let people cheat as they wanted to, there'd probably be LESS people doing it because now that people know they can't do it (yet) they want to even more...

Sad, but it's true. It's better to embrace the things you cannot change, and this is one of them.

PS, I've never actually conncted to another player. Ever! If fact I only fired up my browser once in the history of having the PSP, just to check it out. I'm probably missing out on a lot of fun, but frankly I prefer to play alone.

Your logic is true, but you're not looking at numbers. The homebrew and ISO community is under 5% of psp users, and many of them can't play ISOs because they have a newer firmware.

Think about this... # of psp users that use homebrew < 5%. # of people who use codes < 5% of the first 5%. if we can keep the number of people that use codes online to under 5% of that, theres only a select few that will. Yes, the inability to do something drives people to want it, but want does not mean they will get it. Keep the wlan switch protection.

As far as I know, most homebrew is legal, or sony would move in and demand a cease and disist of all homebrew under copyright. You can find ISO's and ISO loaders on few sites. PSPupdates wont host them and if they dont you got to know it is illegal. True, nothing is impossible with software, there will always be work arounds and other things. Sony may not be able to make an uncrackable firmware but they will keep on patching and make it harder and harder to find exploits so it takes longer to find exploits each time. The only way to make it easier to find exploits each time is to be a step ahead of sony with more information and experiance about the firmware. And since sony knows everything there is to know about the PSP. They have the signed eboots. So they will always be a step ahead with a patch, unless an employe that knows everything to know about every known file of the PSP's software we will always be a step behind. Anyway my point is CWcheat is under a copyright and it states in the readme this:
