Searching more Problems in DataBase

I Fix always the first Post with Problems in DB, and Fixes.

When a Fix is done, i edit again the first post.

Is more easy if all help with this, only need to check the DB and search for Repeated Codes, or anothers problems.

If Webmaster can make a Login to Edit DB i can work everyday fixing DB, to get a complete fixed, and clean DataBase for downloads.

If Moderator needs, i can make the same List using the actual DataBase code, for easy Copy&Paste.

I know myself and a couple other dedicated souls want this project to be successful, and would be willing to assist however we can.

Thanks for your work on the database, the new format is looking good.

Any chance you could make it easier to submit multiple codes? Maybe make it so we can paste the block of codes, and the db automatically parses the file to find the codes? It takes a while to add may codes now, and we shouldn't have to bother you with an e-mail if we have a bunch of codes to add.

This may be a stupid question but I am trying to make my own codes but when I try and add them to the database They get their but they stay on the top line only, I tried everything I can think of but nothing works even my cheat code and description are on the top line where it says the name of the game. Here is what I pasted

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or even at least tell me if it works?

Do you mean adding to your local cheat.db file?

Use a UNIX-compatible text editor, for windows use WORDPAD and not notepad. Wordpad comes with windows...

First, you need a dash ( '-' ) between the ULUS and the 10053 (like this: ULUS-10053)

Secondly, are you seperating _S,_G,_C, and _L onto seperate lines? Look at your cheat.db file to see how to format it.

Thirdly, your hex codes are wrong. it should be:

0x1118B1F5 0x000003E7

Note the '1' instead of the '2' in the first value (the address). This is because 3E7 (which is 999 in decimal) is in the range of 266-65535, it's two bytes of data. If your value was greater than 65535, say 9,999,999 for example, you'd need 4 bytes, so that's when you'd use a '2' in the beginning of your address. Hope that makes sense, as that was a stumbling block I dealt with when first using this app.


On another note...

WHOMEVER IS ADDING DUPLICATE CHEATS... I NOTICED MOST RECENTLY FOR 'GURUMIN', PLEASE STOP IT. IF YOU MESSED UP THE TITLE OF THE CHEAT, OR THE ADDRESS, CONTACT AN ADMIN TO HAVE IT FIXED. DON'T ADD THE EXACT SAME CHEAT AGAIN.

This is why we need to be able to see who is adding bad codes (user logins)

I'd love to be a db moderator too, considering I have no life and check the db and forums 20 times a day

And I am pretty calm, just made it big and red in the hopes that that dumbass would see it and notice I'm talking about him

Don't these people test the cheats on their own systems first before posting them? They'd notice they don't work then...

also that Starwars Battlefront code is still wrong... It should be a 2-byte value, not a 4-byte one. Change '0x2118B1F5' to '0x1118B1F5' because 999 is between 256 and 65535 It might cause problems in game with the wrong address size. I'll add the correct code now...

Thanks with all the help guys my origional value was the same as the correct one so at least now I know I am on the right track. And the reason why it wasn't adding my cheat to the database was cause I was usint text doc. and not wordpad.
