no you can do nothing in playstation mode with the hd as the psx cpu is the one used for I/O in the playstation 2. the only workaround for this is doing a full fledged psx emulator working on the EE

Oh, well that stinks. Sony should have made is possible to play from the PS2 side fully, that probably would have solved the memory card issue, it stinks that you have to have a ps1 MC to save. But yea...if that's what they did in the PS3, I guess that's why they were hesitant with the PS2 at first because of all the compatibility issues...but I believe it has a PS1 and PS2 side right? Oh well, getting off topic. Maybe with my free time on the weekends or weekdays when I'm done with homework I'll start learning how to program...deving for the PSP sounds fun, I also might want to try for the PS2. Hopefully programming languages won't be as confusing as last time I tried to learn. Anyway, I'll try to put some money aside to get some PSP games.
