Cliff Bleszinsky sul suo Blog ha annunciato che ben 12 nuove mappe multiplayer sono in arrivo per Gears of War, e, diversamente da quello che chiedeva Microsoft, tutte gratuite!

I will sit down here and discuss the twelve new maps to be released for a little game I envisioned called Gears of War. These maps will cost around a total of 0 Micro$oft Points a piece. In the end, we worked it out. Idle threats of Gears slipping to PS3 (HA!) worked in our favour.
