E' stato confermato anche dal servizio assistenza telefonica microsoft che modificare le ventole contenute all'interno della console e usare ventole a 12V comportano una violazione del contratto di licenza Microsoft per il Live e quindi un BAN per le console che hanno subito questo tipo di modifica. Questo riguarda in generale anche ogni tipo di modifica hardware che è stata applicata alla vostra console 360, pertanto la Microsoft è legalmente autorizzata a bannare gli utenti anche per queste ragioni.

Una modifica alle ventole (con l'uso di ventole da 12V) è facile da verificare in quanto il controllo del voltaggio è una caratteristica base di qualunque bios sviluppato negli ultimi 10 anni.

You may be thinking well why is he quoting this?? Well because Microsoft have started banning xbox 360's with modded cooling. So if you've done the 12v mod your in risk of being banned for it.... How do I know this?? Because a friend of mine just had a nice chat with Microsoft About why he was banned and they explained it was because he had non-stock/modded fans.
